About The Wine Poste - Meet Our Wine Experts

The Wine Poste

The Wine Poste is a new twist on retail and online wine sales in Texas. We are located in a recently redeveloped 4500sqft warehouse in the heart of the burgeoning Design District of Dallas, TX. Our venue was designed with comfort in mind. We have three distinct wine tasting and event entertaining areas for our patrons, the Lounge, the Library, and our private Banquet Room. These three rooms can be rented individually or all at once giving our potential clients the opportunity to use the space exactly to their needs – wine tasting, winemaker dinners, catered events, etc.

While our core business is sourcing and selling the most delicious wines through our website and our onsite wine program, we are more than equipped to handle both public and private wine tastings, elegant wine dinners, corporate meetings and mixers, convention visitors, birthday parties, wedding showers, bridal showers, baby showers, or just a night out with a friend enjoying a bottle of wine.

Please browse our website to learn more about our wine program, wine clubs, wine events, and premier event rentals and wine tastings.

Wes Dörlich - Online Sales & Wine Club Manager

The first time I remember thinking about wine was when I was around 8 years old. My parents were talking about how wine got better with age. I then became interested in learning more about wine. In 2000 I read my first book about wine. I got the basic idea and realized I need to do a lot of tasting, and then more reading.

At around 2006 I started making wine at home from kits, and purchased grapes. It turned out fine, but it seemed that was the best it was going to be without control the most important step. The next year I planted some vines of my own. Now I have around 70 vines planted an hour east of Dallas.

In 2011 I made a career change and started doing wine retail, worked at a couple of wine bars, and then found my way to the Wine Poste.

Currently I am enrolled in Grayson College's Viticulture and Enology program. There is always more to learn and that is what I intend to do.
